Regardless of the composition of the roster, there will always be at least one apprentice level mission possible, in case the player wants to recruit new heroes from the Stage Coach. Each mission's objective, difficulty, and size are generated randomly, with size and especially difficulty being weighted depending on the heroes of the current roster. Greater mission length and difficulty make expeditions harder, but also increase the rewards for completion. I just feel that since money is the main bottleneck in the game, especially as you transition to champion, as the cost of the final upgrades on armour and skills is very high, and the cost of locking and purging quirks is very steep as well - it would alleviate a lot of the grind if you could actually take all the loot you find in the dungeon home with you. Each of the locations outside the Hamlet will have a number of different types of missions to accomplish, with various dungeon sizes, objectives, and difficulty levels. My best run so far for money, was a champion long ruins run, I made 31000ish, I was lucky to kill the collector and get a secret room, so i found 4 puzzling gems, as well as 2 full stacks of rubies from curios.Īt the end of the run all but 2 slots in my inventory were full of max stacked loot items, but i still think throughout that run I discarded 1000s of gold in items/money due my limited inventory space. Towards the end of the dungeon, it then starts making sense to discard supply items you think you can live without, which is fine because it forces you to take extra risk for your greed. It doesn't help that there are multiple gems of the same worth, with a fairly low max stack size, meaning that I usually discard citrine/jade for coins or other gems.

I've been finding that on medium and long dungeons even when keeping the torch high, I still return with a completely full inventory of loot, and usually throw a lot away every run, since at the start of the dungeon I can't throw out torches/food/items etc, and at the end of the dungeon I'm prioritising loot by value.
